These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SliceAI mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by SliceAI ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, completing onboarding, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated here by reference.
2. Description of the Service
SliceAI is a golf swing analysis application. You provide a down-the-line video of a golf swing, which is uploaded and analyzed in the cloud. The Service identifies key swing positions, runs fundamentals checks, and returns a "SliceAI Score" along with a position-by-position breakdown.
The SliceAI Score and any feedback are generated automatically and are intended as general guidance to help improving golfers. They are not professional coaching, medical, or fitness advice, and are not a substitute for instruction from a qualified golf professional. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any analysis or score.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.
4. Your Account
You are responsible for any activity that occurs through your use of the Service and for maintaining the security of the device and any credentials used to access it. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
5. User Content
"User Content" means the swing videos and any other materials you submit to the Service. You retain ownership of your User Content.
By submitting User Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, transmit, and analyze that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you (including transmitting it to our cloud analysis provider for processing). You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your User Content and that doing so does not violate the rights of any third party. Where your video includes other identifiable people, you are responsible for having any consent required to upload it.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Upload content that infringes the rights of others or that you do not have permission to share;
- Attempt to reverse engineer, disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its underlying systems;
- Use the Service to build or train a competing product, or to scrape or harvest data.
7. Subscriptions & Payments
Some features of the Service may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Where purchases are made through the Apple App Store, payment is charged to your Apple ID account and is subject to Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Except where required by law or by the applicable app store's policies, payments are non-refundable.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, design, branding, and content (excluding your User Content), is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analysis will be accurate. You use the Service, and act on any feedback it provides, at your own risk. Always warm up appropriately and consult a qualified professional before making changes to your physical activity.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SliceAI and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the Service. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, our total aggregate liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months before the claim, or USD $50.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if you breach these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. You may stop using the Service at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes may be communicated through the Service. Your continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
